A recent study by the UK Hansard Society found that there was a clear indication that the use of political blogs can be a resource for media to increase the transparency of politicians' and accessibility.

Political quagmire can be a vehicle to alternative channel of political communication. In the study, the research made use of eight political blogs as examples of these policy instruments to promote blogs political commitments.
